Musk vs. OpenAI Trial Begins Monday
Jury selection begins Monday for the high-profile trial between Elon Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Musk claims Altman deceived him into investing millions by presenting OpenAI as a nonprofit whose technology would benefit humanity, before pivoting to a commercial model.
OpenAI counters that Musk's lawsuit is driven by ego, jealousy, and a desire to harm a competitor, arguing he left due to a desire for control rather than concern over the nonprofit mission. A ruling is expected by mid-May.
