Midjourney Unveils V1 AI Video Model - Midjourney has launched V1, its first AI video generation model, capable of transforming images into five-second videos. Exclusively available on Discord, V1 competes with offerings from OpenAI, Adobe, and Google. Aimed at creative users, it provides customizable animation settings. Pricing for video generation is currently higher than for image generation, but the company plans to adjust this soon.
The launch is shadowed by a lawsuit from Disney and Universal, alleging copyright infringement. Midjourney's long-term vision includes real-time simulations and 3D renderings.
