Meta's new terms enable free AI training on news sites

Meta's updated terms of service, taking effect October 30th, appear to grant the company permission to crawl and scrape websites associated with businesses using its platforms. This includes online publishers and news sites. According to a Nieman Lab report, the new terms allow Meta to use this outside content to develop, improve, research, and train its AI products.
