Meta's Hyperagents Can Self-Improve Beyond Coding Tasks

Meta researchers and university collaborators have introduced hyperagents, a self-improving AI system that continuously rewrites and optimizes its own problem-solving logic and underlying code. Unlike current systems limited to software engineering tasks, hyperagents can self-improve across non-coding domains like robotics and document review. The system independently develops capabilities such as persistent memory and automated performance tracking. Crucially, hyperagents don't just improve at solving tasks — they also enhance the self-improvement process itself, accelerating overall progress in dynamic, unpredictable environments like enterprise production settings.
