Meta Unveils Advanced V-JEPA 2 AI Model - Meta has launched V-JEPA 2, an AI model designed to enhance robots' understanding of their environment by predicting physical interactions, akin to human and animal common sense. Building on V-JEPA, which was trained on over 1 million hours of video, V-JEPA 2 aims to enable real-world AI operations, such as anticipating actions in kitchen scenarios.
V-JEPA 2 reportedly operates 30 times faster than Nvidia's Cosmos model. Meta envisions this advancement as a breakthrough for robotics, as it reduces the need for extensive robotic training data to perform everyday tasks.
