Meta Strengthens Superintelligence Lab with Ex-OpenAI Talent - Meta has recruited four former OpenAI researchers, including key figures in reinforcement learning, to join its new superintelligence lab aiming to outperform human capabilities. This move follows Meta's attempts to address issues with its Llama 4 Behemoth model. Additionally, Meta has invested $14.3 billion into ScaleAI for nearly half ownership and is eyeing the acquisition of voice AI developer PlayAI Inc.
The company is also negotiating with notable tech figures from Safe Superintelligence Inc., as Meta plans a $65 billion data center expansion supported by Nvidia technology.
