Meta launches powerful open-weight AI for Macs

Meta has released Muse Spark Open, its most capable open-weight AI model, built with 816 billion parameters and a 1 million token context window. The model is natively multimodal and designed for complex coding and agentic tasks. Notably, it runs locally on Apple Macs, though requires at least 1 terabyte of RAM and performs best on a Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip. Meta demonstrated it handling coding fixes and running DaVinci Resolve. The model is available now via multiple API platforms.
