Meta Launches Muse AI Agent With Privacy Focus
Meta has launched Muse, a personal AI agent available free on iOS, Android, and web, designed to automate tasks like booking flights, sending emails, and making purchases. Built by Meta Superintelligence Labs, it competes with existing AI agents and can be accessed via WhatsApp and Meta's AI glasses.
Muse runs on a secure architecture called Secure VM, isolating user activity and monitoring outgoing data through a tool called Sentinel. Purchases are handled via Stripe's Link system using single-use card numbers. However, critics note users must still ultimately trust Meta itself, as the company retains technical access to user data despite policy restrictions.
