It surpasses major competitors in language benchmarks and is accessible on platforms like Hugging Face. Despite restrictions for large platforms, the Llama models have been downloaded 650 million times.
Concerns persist regarding compliance with EU regulations such as the AI Act and GDPR. Meta is enhancing its AI infrastructure, investing $10 billion in a new data center to support future models, as capital expenditures increase.
