Meta AI Surges to No. 5 After Muse Spark Launch

Meta's AI app rocketed from No. 57 to No. 5 on the U.S. App Store following Wednesday's launch of Muse Spark, its first model under new Superintelligence Labs head Alexandr Wang. Sensor Tower estimated 46,000 U.S. iOS downloads on April 8, an 87% day-over-day increase, while U.S. web traffic surged over 450% that same day. Muse Spark accepts voice, text, and image input and supports visual coding, health guidance, and complex reasoning. The model will expand to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Meta's AI glasses in coming weeks. Despite the surge, Meta AI still trails ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini in App Store rankings.
