Mappedin Raises $24.5M to Map Indoor Spaces
Mappedin, a Waterloo-based digital indoor mapping company, has secured $24.5 million in growth equity financing led by Edison Partners, with participation from Betatron Venture Group. The AI-powered platform has already mapped over 10 billion square feet across 86 countries.
The funding will drive expansion toward city-scale indoor mapping deployments and broaden access for first responders, safety organizations, and large public venues. While over 80% of the world's road network is digitally mapped, indoor spaces remain largely unmapped, a gap Mappedin aims to close using AI and LiDAR technology.
