Lookout Targets Shadow AI Lurking on Mobile Devices

Cybersecurity firm Lookout has launched AI Visibility & Governance, a mobile-native tool that helps organizations detect and control unauthorized AI app usage across corporate and personal devices. The solution identifies shadow AI activity that traditional endpoint and cloud tools cannot see, while monitoring autonomous agent behavior and blocking sensitive data from reaching unsanctioned AI services. The platform also generates audit-ready compliance reports aligned to the EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001 standards. Offered as part of Lookout's existing mobile security platform, the tool aims to bring AI activity on mobile devices under full organizational visibility and governance.
