LlamaIndex Launches LlamaCloud for Unstructured Data Agents - LlamaIndex, founded by former Uber scientists Jerry Liu and Simon Suo in 2023, has introduced LlamaCloud, an enterprise service for developers to create AI agents that manage unstructured data. Originally an open-source project, LlamaIndex facilitates custom agent creation by indexing and structuring data for various applications.
With clients like Salesforce and KPMG, LlamaCloud provides SaaS and private cloud deployments with role-based controls. Supported by $19M in Series A funding, the service aims to streamline the creation of secure and efficient AI agents, addressing key developer challenges in generative AI applications.
