HuggingSnap App: Offline AI Vision for iOS - Hugging Face has launched HuggingSnap, a new iOS app using their smolvlm2 vision model for on-device AI image recognition. This app allows users to describe and interpret their iPhone camera's captures by identifying objects, explaining scenes, and reading text without sending data to the cloud.
Designed to be energy-efficient and operable offline, HuggingSnap requires iOS 18 or later. It's compatible with macOS devices and the Apple Vision Pro, enhancing usability across multiple platforms.
