Homebase AI assistant handles scheduling and payroll tasks

Homebase has launched Homebase Assistant, an AI tool built for small business owners managing hourly teams. It automates tasks like scheduling, payroll checks, and candidate screening. When an employee calls out sick, the assistant identifies potential replacements and contacts them only after owner approval. On payroll, it flags missing punches, overtime trends, and hour gaps before costs accumulate. Florida pickleball club St. Pete Athletic screened over 3,000 applications through the tool, saving more than 1,000 hours. Homebase reports its earlier AI tools have handled over 4.7 million administrative tasks since launching in 2025.
