Google Launches Offline AI Meeting Note-Taker App

Google has released Google AI Edge Foresight, a Mac app that captures AI-powered meeting notes entirely offline using the on-device Gemma 2 model with 740 million parameters. Similar to Granola, it features a split-screen view for manual and AI-generated notes, plus full meeting transcripts and a Gemma 4-powered assistant. Users can build a knowledge base from PDFs, Google Docs, Office files, and web bookmarks for real-time answers during meetings. Optimized for Apple Silicon, the app works without an internet connection and may serve as a showcase for Google's Gemma offline model series.
