Google Vids Gets AI Avatar Direction Via Prompts
Google has added major new features to its Vids video editor, including the ability to direct and customize AI avatars using natural language prompts. Users can instruct avatars to interact with products or props while maintaining character consistency, and customize appearance, clothing, and backgrounds through text.
The update also brings Veo 3.1 video generation with 10 free monthly clips for all users, direct YouTube export with default private settings, and a new Chrome screen-recording extension. Google Vids competes with platforms like Synthesia, HeyGen, and D-ID.
