The evaluation pointed to the potential exposure to harmful content, including topics like sex, drugs, and unsafe mental health advice.
In response, Google is working to enhance its safety features and contends that some concerns may be unfounded. Despite the criticism, companies such as Apple are considering integrating Gemini into their products, which raises concerns unless safety issues are addressed. Common Sense has also evaluated other AI tools, marking several as higher risk.
