Google Expands Gemini in Chrome to 7 Countries
Google is rolling out its Gemini in Chrome feature to Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The expansion covers both desktop and iOS, except in Japan, and follows earlier launches in the U.S., India, Canada, and New Zealand.
The sidebar-based assistant lets users answer questions across tabs, schedule meetings, draft emails, and connect to Gmail and Google Photos for personalized responses. An agentic feature that controls the browser to complete tasks remains in testing, limited to U.S. users on paid AI Pro and AI Ultra plans.
