Google Deploys AI Agents to Battle AI Threats
Google unveiled three new AI security agents at Cloud Next in Las Vegas, designed to hunt threats, identify coverage gaps, and enrich security workflows with third-party data. The move reflects the company's shift toward an AI-led defense strategy overseen by humans, with its existing Triage and Investigation agent already processing five million alerts and cutting analysis time from 30 minutes to 60 seconds.
Alongside the new agents, Google and recently acquired Wiz introduced tools to secure the expanding AI agent fleet itself. These include an AI Bill of Materials to track components used in AI applications, and integration with vibe coding platform Loveable to flag vulnerabilities in real time during development.
