Google AI Removes Image Watermarks, Sparking Controversy - Users have found that Google's new Gemini 2.0 Flash AI model can remove watermarks from images, causing copyright concerns. Despite being labeled experimental and not for production, the tool effectively fills gaps left by watermark removal and is free on AI Studio.
While other AI tools offer similar features, Gemini 2.0 Flash's lack of restrictions has drawn criticism from copyright holders. Google stated that using its AI against terms of service can result in copyright infringement issues and is actively monitoring feedback.
