Google Adds Reusable Prompt Templates to Chrome's Gemini
Google has launched Skills, a new feature in Chrome's Gemini sidebar that lets users save frequently used prompts as reusable templates. Available now on Mac, Windows and ChromeOS with Chrome set to U.S. English, Skills can be triggered via a forward slash or plus button and applied across multiple tabs.
Google also released a library of over 50 pre-built Skills for tasks like summarizing YouTube videos. Microsoft and Perplexity offer similar features, while OpenAI's Atlas browser does not yet support prompt shortcuts. Skills follows Chrome's February debut of Auto Browse, an AI agent that automates web tasks.
Nice and colorful.
