Google is launching an experimental feature on Pixel 11 that lets Gemini AI handle phone calls to local businesses on your behalf. Users can delegate tasks like making reservations, checking product availability, or rescheduling appointments. Unlike traditional call-handling tools, users do not need to initiate the call themselves. Gemini manages the entire interaction, sparing users from waiting on hold or navigating phone menus.
