Fundamental Research Labs Secures $33M for AI Agents - Fundamental Research Labs, formerly Altera, raised $33 million in Series A funding led by Prosus. Spearheaded by Dr. Robert Yang, the company is developing AI agents across various fields, including the consumer assistant app Fairies and the spreadsheet-based agent Shortcut. These applications showcase AI's role in improving workflows and financial modeling.
The startup plans to advance robotics and address physical problems, having secured over $40 million in total funding. Prosus investment partner Sandeep Bakshi commended the team's mission-driven approach and emphasis on real-world applications.
