Filipino Parents Optimistic on AI, Admit Knowledge Gap
A Google and YouGov survey found 89% of Filipino parents believe online learning tools have expanded their children's access to educational resources, among the highest optimism rates in Asia-Pacific. However, 19% admit their children know more about AI than they do. Despite the knowledge gap, 71% of parents feel capable of teaching responsible AI use, and 57% believe AI literacy will prepare children for the future. Nearly half want to learn more themselves. Google advises families to explore AI tools together and teach children to verify and critically assess AI-generated content.
