Dell Launches PowerRack for Megawatt AI Factories

Dell Technologies unveiled its expanded PowerRack portfolio at Dell Technologies World 2026, integrating compute, networking and storage into a single rack-scale system. The move addresses surging power demands, with AI racks jumping from 80 kilowatts two years ago to a projected one megawatt in coming generations. Dell has shifted to fully liquid-cooled architectures and a turnkey deployment model that brings customers from delivery to full production in six hours. The company, ranked No. 1 rack-scale infrastructure provider by IDC in 2025, is also backing SONiC as the open-source networking OS for enterprise AI deployments.
