Dell bets modular infrastructure solves enterprise AI scaling

Dell Technologies is pushing modular AI infrastructure as the solution for enterprises struggling to scale AI from proof of concept to full production. Key challenges include runaway token-based pricing costs, data governance, and security at scale, according to Dell SVP Varun Chhabra. Dell partnered with AMD to create the Dell AI Platform, allowing companies to start small and expand without rebuilding their infrastructure. The modular AI Factory combines AMD Instinct GPUs, EPYC CPUs, and ROCm software in pre-tested, composable units of compute, storage, and networking.
