Databricks debuts new data pipeline and business intelligence tools

June 12, 2024: Databricks Unveils LakeFlow and AI/BI Tools - Databricks released two innovative products - LakeFlow and AI/BI - at their Data + AI Summit. LakeFlow streamlines building data pipelines with features like near-real-time processing, enriched by Arcion Incs technology. AI/BI enhances business intelligence with intuitive dashboards and Genie, an AI chatbot for natural language queries, aimed at making data analytics and visualization accessible through a low-code interface. Both integrate with Unity Catalog for data management and draw on Mosaic AI and a $1.3 billion acquisition to bolster their capabilities.
