Commvault Launches AI Tools to Secure Agentic Workflows

Commvault has unveiled three new AI capabilities — Data Activate, AI Protect and AI Studio — designed to help enterprises safely adopt AI while maintaining control over data, agents and recovery. The tools are integrated into Commvault Cloud and address growing concerns around risk and compliance, which 60% of AI leaders cite as top barriers to agentic AI adoption. Data Activate prepares vetted datasets for AI pipelines, AI Protect discovers and governs agents while enabling one-click recovery from AI-driven disruptions, and AI Studio lets teams build custom agents using Commvault's Model Context Protocol server. Together, they aim to deliver a full AI resiliency lifecycle across on-premises, SaaS and hybrid cloud environments.
