Cloudflare Launches AI-Focused Browser Kitesurf
Cloudflare has unveiled Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser built specifically for AI agents rather than human users. Unlike traditional browsers, it prioritizes context window management, token costs, and scalability over visual elements like tabs or extensions, while also addressing AI-specific threats like prompt injection attacks. Built in just 12 weeks on Cloudflare's serverless Workers platform, Kitesurf lets developers create AI software that can browse websites and fill out forms without building their own browser. It claims significantly lower CPU and memory usage than Chromium and is currently available free in beta.
