Claude Models Now Available for India In-Country Inferencing

Amazon Bedrock now offers Anthropic's Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5, and Claude Haiku 4.5 through an India geographic cross-Region inference profile. Requests route only between the Mumbai and Hyderabad AWS Regions, keeping data processing within India. The feature uses end-to-end encryption, a zero data retention model, and tracks billing and monitoring in the source Region. Customers can access the models via the Amazon Bedrock console playground or programmatically through the Anthropic Messages API, Amazon Bedrock InvokeModel API, or Converse API.
