Claude Code Adds Automated Routines, Redesigned Desktop App

Anthropic has launched routines for Claude Code, allowing users to automate tasks on cloud infrastructure without relying on full AI agents. Similar to dynamic cron jobs, routines run saved configurations on a schedule or via triggers, staying active even when users' laptops are off. Pro users get five daily routines, Max users get 15, and Team and Enterprise users receive 25. Anthropric also unveiled a redesigned Claude Code desktop app featuring an integrated terminal, faster diff viewer, in-app file editor, and expanded preview area. The update aims to reduce app-switching and support multiple simultaneous sessions, reflecting how developers increasingly multitask with AI tools.
