CData launches AI gateway for enterprise data governance

CData Software introduced Connect AI Gateway, a platform giving IT teams centralized control over how AI agents select models, use tools, and access company data. The gateway enforces user-level permissions down to specific rows and columns, with a full audit trail for each response. A context engine reuses business definitions from tools like dbt and Power BI, storing shared knowledge in a graph outside individual models to ensure consistent answers across model changes. CData reported 98.5% accuracy on 378 enterprise queries in its own testing and noted up to a 175-fold cost difference between models producing the same correct answer.
