Bhavish Aggarwal Fuels Indian AI Startup Krutrim - Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal is investing $230 million in his AI startup Krutrim, which specializes in Indian language LLMs. This investment aligns with Krutrim's strategy of open-sourcing models and partnering with Nvidia to build India's largest supercomputer. The startup has released Krutrim-2, demonstrating strong performance in Indian languages, and aims to raise $1.15 billion by next year.
Krutrim also launched BharatBench, an evaluation framework assessing AI proficiency in Indian languages, addressing gaps in existing benchmarks. Aggarwal’s investment underscores a commitment to boosting India's standing in the global AI landscape.
