Bezos's Prometheus AI Lab Nears $10bn Raise

Jeff Bezos is close to finalising a $10bn fundraising round for Project Prometheus, his physical AI laboratory, at a $38bn valuation. BlackRock and JPMorgan are among investors backing the deal, though it remains unsigned. The raise comes just six months after the lab launched with $6.2bn in initial funding. Unlike generative AI rivals, Prometheus targets engineering, manufacturing, aerospace and drug discovery by teaching machines to reason about the physical world. Led by CEO Vikram Bajaj, the 120-person lab has yet to publicly demonstrate a product, though Bezos himself has taken an active operational role, his first since leaving Amazon in 2021.
