AWS Signs Billion-Dollar CPU Deal With Meta
Amazon Web Services has signed a multiyear, multibillion-dollar deal to supply Meta Platforms with cloud infrastructure centered on its Graviton CPU family. Meta will purchase access to tens of millions of Graviton cores, with options to expand, primarily to power AI agents. The latest Graviton5 chip features 192 cores built on a three-nanometer process and is 25% faster than its predecessor. This marks Meta's second major CPU partnership in a month, following an earlier agreement to adopt Arm's new AGI processor for AI servers.
