Apple Expands OpenAI Trade Secrets Case

Apple is escalating its trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI, seeking a preliminary injunction to halt development of AI products allegedly built on stolen Apple technology. The company now claims 11 additional former employees beyond the original defendants may have been involved, including some who took screenshots of confidential documents before OpenAI job interviews. OpenAI has pushed back, calling Apple's injunction request baseless and denying possession of any trade secrets. The AI company also accused Apple of procedural missteps, including emailing the wrong person and allegedly misrepresenting conversations with OpenAI's general counsel.
