Anthropic Launches Cyber Mission to Defend Infrastructure

Anthropic has launched the Anthropic Cyber Mission, a long-term initiative to help defenders secure critical systems. It introduces two programs: the Critical Infrastructure Defense Program (CIDP), which provides frontier Claude models, on-site engineers, and threat research to providers securing power grids, water systems, and transportation networks; and OSS Scanner, which offers free security scans for open-source software projects. Founding CIDP partners include Accenture, CrowdStrike, Dragos, Palo Alto Networks, and others. The effort builds on lessons from Project Glasswing, which has been merged into an expanded Cyber Verification Program.
