Anthropic Launches Claude Fable 5.1, Signs $35B Deal

Anthropic has released Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1, its most capable AI models yet, setting records on multiple benchmarks including a 52.6% score on Terminal-Bench-Science 0.1, more than double its predecessor. Fable 5.1 is generally available and runs 25% more cost-efficiently, while the more powerful Mythos 5.1 is restricted to trusted cybersecurity and biology researchers. The launch follows a $35 billion cloud infrastructure deal with Lambda Inc., which will house capacity in a Texas data center being built by Hut 8 Corp. This comes days after Anthropic signed an even larger $45 billion contract with UK-based Nscale Global Holdings for 460 megawatts of computing capacity in West Virginia.
