Anthropic Launches AI Economic Impact Initiative - Anthropic PBC has launched the Anthropic Economic Futures Program to support research on AI's economic impact, providing grants of $10,000 to $50,000. The program targets economists with strong quantitative skills for studies under six months on AI's effects on labor markets and productivity. It will also fund research institutions and host policy events in Washington, D.C., and Europe.
The program seeks policy proposals related to worker productivity and fiscal policy and aims to extend the Anthropic Economic Index for comprehensive AI economic data tracking. This initiative follows OpenAI's similar effort, NextGenAI.
