Amazon Unveils Touch-Sensitive Warehouse Robot - Amazon has introduced Vulcan, a two-armed warehouse robot equipped with force sensors and cameras to interact with items. One arm reorganizes items while the other uses a camera and suction cup to handle products, designed to improve efficiency. Vulcan has reportedly processed half a million orders at locations in Spokane, Washington, and Hamburg, Germany.
Amazon claims the robot's purpose is to enhance warehouse safety rather than replace human workers, amidst criticism. Vulcan can adapt and self-improve, showcasing its potential as a valuable asset in their warehouses.
