Amazon Unveils Touch-Sensitive Warehouse Robot Vulcan - Amazon has introduced Vulcan, an innovative AI-powered warehouse robot equipped with a sense of touch, designed to enhance its fulfillment centers by collaborating with employees. Based on Physical AI, Vulcan handles objects more human-like, boosting efficiency and safety.
Vulcan can accurately pick and stow 75% of items and identifies when human intervention is needed, augmenting human capabilities and reducing physical strain. Currently operational in Spokane, WA, it is undergoing testing in Hamburg, Germany, with plans for broader deployment by 2026.
