Amazon Launches AI Agent R&D Lab Led by Expert - Amazon has opened the Amazon AGI SF Lab in San Francisco, led by David Luan, to develop AI agents for complex digital and physical tasks. This initiative builds on Amazon's broader AGI efforts, focusing on agent capabilities like real-world action performance and self-correction.
The lab's creation follows a licensing deal with Adept, integrating their technology and team. Amazon plans to further expand into AI agents to enhance the Alexa platform and other services with advanced, action-oriented AI functionalities.
