AI Skills Gap Widens as Training Lags Behind
A Forrester report warns that organisations are deploying AI tools without adequately training their entire workforce. While most AI decision-makers use predictive and generative AI, only half offer training to non-technical employees, with that figure growing just 4 percentage points between 2024 and 2025. Fears of job loss are compounding the problem, with 43 percent of employees believing many people will lose jobs to automation within five years. Forrester urges organisations to prioritise continuous, hands-on learning and clearer communication about AI, arguing that treating AI literacy as a strategic priority is essential to productivity and return on investment.
