Accenture Deploys Microsoft Copilot to 743,000 Employees

Microsoft and Accenture have completed the largest-ever deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot, rolling it out to over 743,000 employees across 120 countries. The rollout began with a small pilot in August 2023 before scaling rapidly, with 97% of employees now completing routine tasks up to 15 times faster and 53% reporting significant productivity gains. The phased deployment relied on customized training, group sessions, and peer sharing to drive adoption. Internal surveys showed 89% monthly active usage, with 84% of respondents saying they would deeply miss the tool if removed. Accenture views Copilot as a foundation for reimagining its professional services business.
