Zscaler Buys Symmetry Systems for AI Agent Security

Zscaler is acquiring Symmetry Systems, a startup that helps companies monitor and inventory their data assets across public clouds, SaaS applications, and on-premises hardware. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal will enhance Zscaler's Zero Trust Exchange product by adding AI agent governance capabilities, including detecting data leaks, identifying credential theft impact, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry said the acquisition addresses the challenge of scaling security controls to millions of AI agents.
