Zip, the $2.2 billion AI procurement platform, has unveiled five AI Superagents capable of reviewing contracts, coding invoices, and negotiating with vendors within its governance framework. It also launched a procurement-native Model Context Protocol integration, feeding Zip data into tools like Claude and ChatGPT while preserving audit trails and compliance controls. The announcements, made at Zip's AI Summit in New York, come as enterprise procurement technology becomes a hotly contested AI battleground. Competitors including SAP, which recently unveiled over 50 domain-specific AI assistants, and Coupa are also aggressively expanding their AI capabilities.
