Xiaomi Open-Sources Omnimodal MiMo-V2.6 AI Series

Xiaomi has released its MiMo-V2.6 open-source AI model family, featuring two natively omnimodal models — MiMo-V2.6-Pro and a smaller Flash variant — plus a Pro-UltraSpeed option delivering 20 times faster output. The models accept text, image, video and audio with 1 million-token context windows, targeting agentic use cases like computer control, coding and business document processing. V2.6-Pro scored 46.32 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, topping open-source rivals, and matched or exceeded Claude Opus 5 on several agentic benchmarks. Pricing starts at $0.14 per million input tokens for Flash and $0.435 for Pro, which Xiaomi claims is one-20th to one-60th the cost of comparable proprietary models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
