Veeam Merges Security and Resilience for Agentic AI

Veeam has launched Veeam Intelligent ResOps, or iResOps, combining security and data resilience into a single discipline to address risks posed by agentic AI. CEO Anand Eswaran argues that AI agents acting autonomously can modify data in ways that are harder to detect than ransomware or theft, requiring precise identification and reversal rather than disclosure alone. iResOps for Microsoft 365 discovers agents, maps sensitive data access, flags obsolete data, and enables file-level undo of agent changes. Veeam's 2026 report found 88% of organizations use AI agents, but only 7% are truly AI-ready.
