Vast Data targets fragmented AI pipeline data risks
Vast Data argues that assembling AI pipelines from separate best-of-breed tools creates dangerous data synchronization gaps, leaving embeddings, permissions, and source data out of alignment. The company, valued at $30 billion after a roughly $1 billion raise in April 2026, says its integrated shared-everything architecture eliminates those gaps. About half of global data remains in corporate or colocation facilities due to regulatory constraints. To address this, Vast launched DataEnclave in September 2026, a confidential AI runtime with Nvidia and Cohere that uses cryptographic attestation to bring frontier models to sensitive, regulated datasets.
